New Zombie Cyborg Monkey
It takes me forever because I'm a lazy schlub...but I have a new comic strip up finally. This time we have a new ZCM: Zombie Cyborg Monkey.
ZCM is my endeavor in the realm of comedic horror. It's more horror cause I can't draw, but whatever, right? Well, this episode of ZCM begins the origin tale (tail?) of Jamie and her Zombie Cyborg Monkey. We meet the evil genius whom she worked for and her coworkers. ZCM is my experiment in pacing and I decided this second strip worked better with panels just showing the characters involved without jumbling up the panel with multiple people and dialogue.
You'll also notice I've already changed to format. In order to make sure readers of ZCM can see the strip without scrolling to the right, I've stacked the panels two by two. It's more of a pain (pane?) to scroll right or left than it is up and down, I find.
Oh, and trivia buffs...our Evil Genius, Dr. Cooper Wallace is named for Edgar Wallace and Meriam Cooper who originally translated the 1933 movie into a novel. Also, the monkey who is fated to become the Zombie Cyborg Monkey is named for WB Seabrook who introduced the zombie to Western culture in his book The Mystery Island in 1929.
Enjoy...
